Buddha Eyes
The Buddha Eyes are one of the most important religious symbols of Buddhism and are so numerous throughout the country that have become a symbol of Nepal itself. See some info here.
Walking through Kathmandu it is easy to find the Buddha Eyes on walls, shop signs, t-shirts, calendars, and any printed or not printed material. Since my arrive in the city, I am collecting one Buddha Eye for each day of my stay in Nepal, to explore the multiple ways of representation of it.
Process is: 1. taking a picture of the eyes 2. working on the picture to isolate them from the context 3. working to make them perfectly b/w when colour is not present. If there is any colour, it is preserved.
