Hairs Autobiography

This was a work from the 2-days workshop I attended with the illustrator Guido Scarabottolo @ Fondazione Claudio Buziol in Venice, 2008. We were asked to create a personal autobiography, mostly using illustration and drawings, free tecnique.

I was interested in creating something unique and particular, rather than just well-executed. I talked about my life through the metaphor of the hairs, which are an importat part of me; using collages, I made some little portraits of my hairs - each step represents a trasformation - linking each piece to the age it was related to.
Each image is independent and separated, even if linked by a paper line on the back, and the biography is open to new additions.

Almost nobody in the workshop liked the project. Anyway, I consider it a different way to interpret an autobiography and I enjoyed analysing myself from a different point of view.
